A $600 One-Bedroom In Williamsburg Is Up For Grabs

The affordable housing unit at 33 Ten Eyck St. will be available on the NYC housing lottery until July 24.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — An apartment in prime Williamsburg that costs less than $600 a month just hit the housing lottery.

The $589 one-bedroom is one of fourteen new apartments that became available at 33 Ten Eyck St. through Housing Connect, the New York City housing lottery, on July 3.

Those interested in applying for the affordable housing units must submit their requests by July 24 and meet certain financial restrictions:

  • The $589 one-bedroom is available to one applicant who earns between $22,149 and $26,720 or two applicants who earn between $22,149 and $30,560 in total.
  • Eight $929 one-bedroom apartments are available to one applicant who earns between $33,806 and $40,080 or two applicants who earn between $33,806 and $45,840 in total.
  • Five $1,121 two-bedroom apartments are available to two applicants who earn between $40,423 and $45,840, three applicants who earn between $40,423 and $51,540 in total, and four applicants who earn between $40,423 and $57,240 in total.

The new building will offer its residents elevator access, an outdoor area, an intercom system, bicycle storage and laundry facilities.

The apartments — located on Ten Eyck Street near Lorimer Street — are within walking distance of the Lorimer and Hewes streets J, M, Z train stations and the Broadway G train station.
