WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — Apartments from two new buildings have hit the affordable housing lottery, with one requiring its tenants make a minimum of $75,000 per year.

The new buildings, found at 319 Broadway and 88 Walton Street, put a total of nine new units up for grabs, three from the Broadway development and six at the Walton Street space. Both buildings were added to the lottery last week.

The Broadway building's one-bedroom apartments are available for $2,211 per month, meaning that only those making at least $75,806 can apply. The salary range, which includes those making 130 percent of the area median income, goes up to a $97,110 maximum for one person and a $111,020 limit for two people.

The one studio available costs $930 per month, the two one-bedrooms cost $1,000 and the three two-bedrooms cost $1,213 each.

To qualify for the studio, applicants should be making between $31,886 and $44,820 per year, or up to $51,240 if two people are applying. The one-bedroom apartments require a minimum salary of $34,286 and the two-bedrooms a $41,589 minimum. The maximum salary for these two depend on how many people are applying to live there.

The Walton Street building is found near the Lorimer Street M and J train stop and includes an elevator. It is between Throop and Harrison avenues.

The two new buildings join another Williamsburg development that is already on the lottery.

That building, found at 420 Kent Avenue, is the latest development built by former governor Eliot Spitzer to join the waterfront. It has 121 units on the lottery.

70 studio, 27 one-bedroom and 24 two-bedroom apartments are up for grabs. Each of the affordable slots are for those making 60 percent of the area median income. For the studio apartments, that means that rent will be $867 a month and is available to those who make between $31,680 and $43,860 per year.
