Affordable Units With Williamsburg Bridge Views Hit Housing Lotto

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — A big batch of actually affordable apartments with views of the Williamsburg Bridge hit the housing market on Wednesday, city records show.
There are 38 new units — some of which are going for as little as $865 a month — up for grabs at 105 South Fifth Street, directly across the street from the neighborhood's iconic bridge, according to the NYC Housing Connect website.
Nine studios, 10 one-bedrooms and 19 two-bedrooms are available to New Yorkers who meet specific income requirements.

People who earn between $31,543 and $43,860 can apply for studios that cost $865 a month.
A single person or couple earning between $33,806 and $50,100 can apply for a one-bedroom that costs $929 a month.

And households of up to four people earning between $40,423 and $62,580 can apply for a two-bedroom that costs $1,121 a month.
Amenities include a laundry room, outdoor terrace, backyard, rec room and limited parking. The building is within walking distance of the Marcy Avenue subway station, the Williamsburg Bridge walking and bike paths, and Pies ‘N’ Thighs.
