Brooklyn Mirage reopened Saturday, about a year after it was shut down for violating city safety codes.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — The wait for a mirage in Williamsburg is finally over — Brooklyn Mirage has opened.
The massive venue at 140 Stewart Ave. opened Saturday night after being shut down in 2016 for breaking a slew of city health and safety codes, DNAinfo reported at the time.
But after a year of battling it out with city officials and local community boards, the massive party space reopened Saturday night with, you guessed it, a massive party, according to reports.

Gothamist sent a reporter and photographer to the palm tree-laden fete and reported it felt like an “adult playground” and was “very "un-New York."
Gothamist also noted that the abundance of well-tended bars paired badly with an inadequate amount of bathrooms.
