Brooklyn Babyfest Goes Down in Greenpoint This Weekend
Brooklyn Babyfest features a greencycle swap of "cleaned, gently used and working items," according to organizers.

GREENPOINT, BROOKLYN — Moms, dads, caretakers and babies are invited to descend upon the coast of North Brooklyn this weekend for the fourth annual Brooklyn Babyfest, featuring a greencycle swap of "cleaned, gently used and working items," according to organizers.
Considering that in New York City it costs around $100,000 a year for a two-parent, two-child family "to secure a decent yet modest standard of living," and that around 30 percent of mothers in the U.S. struggle to afford diapers, swapping clean baby products is a great idea.
Just be sure to heed caution if your baby happens to come into contact with North Brooklyn's native soil; that's not so clean.
