Competition: Brooklyn Artists Wanted To Design Peapod Delivery Trucks
Peapod is seeking artwork that celebrates Brooklynites favorite foods — judges will probably be looking at a lot of pictures of kale.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — Local artists could potentially be stuck in traffic with their own artwork. Peapod — a national chain that delivers groceries ordered online — has launched a competition calling on artists to design their next fleet of trucks.
With “Brooklyn Inspired Truck Contest,” Peapod is seeking artwork that celebrates the food Brooklynites prefer — judges will probably be looking at a lot of pictures of brussels sprouts, kale and bacon.
Artists can submit their work on the Peapod website until May 3, when the competition closes. Ten semi-finalists will be chosen by online voters and the company will choose five finalists whose work will appear on Peapod trucks, beginning in June.

And the artist whose trucks are most popular will be rewarded with a year’s supply of groceries — presumably not all at once.
Competition rules can be found on Peapod’s website, here.
