WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — A terrier who was snatched up outside a Williamsburg supermarket earlier this week has been reunited with his owner, police said.
The dog, named Theo, was found and reunited with his owner on Wednesday after two men stole him while he waited on a leash outside a supermarket on the corner of Humboldt Street and Flushing Avenue around 9 p.m. Monday.

Theo's owner, Bre Kelly, told the New York Post that the reunion happened after an anonymous woman called her Wednesday morning and offered to return the 10-year-old dog.
Kelly met up with the woman around 6 p.m. in Bed-Stuy and got Theo back.

“We are just so happy that he’s home safe and that was always our only goal,” she told the Post.“He seems a bit stunned and nervous but overall, OK!”
It wasn't clear who the woman who returned the dog is or how she is related to the two men who stole Theo, one of whom was caught on camera dragging Theo up and into his arms by his collar as he walked by.
Police told the Post that they are questioning the woman and that the investigation is ongoing.
