Don't Forget, Brooklyn: Your Very First Apple Store Opens Saturday
The project seemed doubtful for months, but Apple started hiring for its new Williamsburg outpost in May.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — After years of "will they or won't they" speculation, Williamsburg's Apple store is just days away from opening. News finally broke last week that the world's most valuable company will open its new neighborhood outpost at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, as posted on the store's website (though not on signs outside the property).
Plans for the business, located at 247 Bedford Ave. — just a block away from Williamsburg's new Whole Foods, which started welcoming guests on Tuesday — was first reported in December of 2014. But as of last May, reporters will still wondering if the project had fallen through, citing a "for rent" sign that had gone up outside the property.
Then, this May, Apple's website suddenly listed a host of job postings in Brooklyn. And now, we're three days out from opening day.
