L Trains Delay Monday Rush Hour After Weekend Of Repairs: MTA
A busted train caused delays along the L line during rush hour Monday morning, MTA officials said.
WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — They said they'd fix the tracks, not the trains.
A broken L train at the Myrtle-Wyckoff station delayed Brooklyn commuters Monday morning after a weekend of repairs on the Canarsie Tunnel tracks, the MTA reported.
Manhattan-bound L trains were stalled at about 8 a.m. as transit workers removed a train with mechanical problems from the Bushwick station, officials reported on social media.

Straphangers were quick to complain on Twitter that the stall would mean thousands of people would not be able to make it to work on time.

The delay occurred weeks into the L Train Slowdown, an 15- to 18-month service change that will allow the MTA to repair Hurricane Sandy-related damages to the Canarsie Tunnel.
