Lena Dunham Lists $3M Williamsburg Home, Moves To Manhattan
The "Girls" creator left Brooklyn to be with her tribe in the West Village, aka "old people puttering around the health-food store."
WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN – Lena Dunham has traded Brooklyn in for the West Village, leaving her $3 million top floor Williamsburg condo, reports Variety Magazine. The "Girls" creator's three-bedroom home recently hit the market for double the price of any of the building's other available units.
Dunham hit headlines this week when she told New York Magazine she was leaving Williamsburg for Manhattan. The 32-year-old had been a Brooklynite since 2012, when she bought her first apartment in the borough in Brooklyn Heights.
She then bought her most recent living space in Williamsburg's 1918 Gretsch building earlier this year after splitting from long-time boyfriend Jack Antonoff.

The new $3 million price tag is just slightly above the $2.9 million Dunham spent on it at the time, Variety reports.
The space is one of four units available in the building, which was originally built as the Gretsch Musical Instrument Factory. Dunham's condo offers views of Manhattan, Brooklyn and the East River and includes 13-foot tall ceilings, a fireplace and a "true chef's kitchen," according to the listing.

Residents in Gretsch can also enjoy a full-time doorman, library lounge, bike storage and a roof terrace.
Dunham told New York Magazine that even though her "whole identity was, like, Brooklyn," she feels at home with her new tribe in the village – "old people puttering around the health food store."
