Man Shot 3 Times On Brooklyn M Train On Christmas Day, Cops Say

The 26-year-old was shot in his shoulder and back just after midnight on Christmas, police said.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — A Christmas shooting on a Brooklyn M train left a 26-year-old man in the hospital, police said.

The man was shot three times while the train pulled into the Lorimer Street stop just after midnight on Wednesday, police said. He was hit in his shoulder and twice in his back, police said.

The shooter had gotten on the train at the Flushing Avenue station, the stop right before Lorimer Street, police said. Police are still looking for the man and said Thursday there is no description of him available yet.

The man who was shot was taken to Bellevue Hospital and is likely to survive, police said.
