Marcus Samuelsson Is Opening a Massive Waterfront Restaurant in Greenpoint

GREENPOINT, BROOKLYN — Star chef Marcus Samuelsson, of Red Rooster fame, is coming to Brooklyn.

The Marcus Samuelsson Group has leased a 4,000-square-foot space at The Greenpoint, a high-end apartment complex going up at 21 India St. on the East River, the New York Post reported.

“Brooklyn has an incredibly rich, dynamic food scene that I personally love and discover a little bit more every time I’m there,” Samuelsson told the Post.

The restaurant, which has not yet been named, will include an outdoor terrace with views of the Manhattan skyline, according to the Post report.

And it will rest in what promises to be a luxurious space — The Greenpoint will offer residents a private courtyard, parking garage, billiards room, screening lounge, and outdoor spaces with grilling stations, cabanas, hammocks and a rooftop lawn.
