Store owners first announced they planned to open a McNally Jackson outpost at the Lewis Steel building in 2014 but it wasn’t until December 2017 that owners started promoting the opening on social media.
Readers will find about 35,000 books — organized by author’s nationality — in the 4,000-square-foot space inside the Lewis Steel building, Bklyner reported.

McNally Jackson reported that the Williamsburg outpost does not have a foreign language section but teased on Instagram that it was stocking up on its “small press LGBTQ Nordic poetry” section.
The new bookstore joins a growing list of northern Brooklyn booksellers that includes Book Thug Nation, Desert Island Comics, Spoonbill & Sugartown, and WORD in Greenpoint.
