In Memoriam: Teresa Narvaez-Bou of Williamsburg
Tereza Narvaez-Bou, a "beloved" Williamsburg resident and neighborhood activist, reportedly passed away in February at the age of 100.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — Last month, beloved Williamsburg resident, Teresa Narvaez-Bou passed away.
Originally from Corozal, Puerto Rico, Narvaez-Bou arrived in New York in 1952 and settled in Williamsburg to raise her two children, Ray and Carmen.
Known in Los Sures as “Doña Teresa,” she championed affordable housing and advocated on issues that
affected Puerto Rican residents in Los Sures.
At 100 years old, Narvaez-Bou was a member of the Los Sures “David Santiago” Senior Center.
