Netflix Brings Free "Gilmore Girls" Coffee to Brooklyn

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — The television series "Gilmore Girls" turns 16 this week, and in celebration of the upcoming Netflix reboot, Brooklyn cafes will be serving free cups of coffee under the show's Luke's Coffee guise.

On Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., The Bean, located at 101 Bedford Ave. in Williamsburg, will serve its first 250 customers free 12-ounce cups of coffee.

Approximately 250 cafes nationwide are participating in the Netflix promotion, including three cafes in Brooklyn.

Luke's Diner is where "Gilmore Girls" characters Rory and Lorelai go to meet and socialize, and where they often trade jabs with the famously moody Luke.

The Netflix reboot, "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" premieres for your streaming pleasure on Nov. 25.
