New Climbing Gym Coming To Williamsburg
A California-based chain will open a climbing gym in a Williamsburg warehouse next summer, the company announced.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — It’s belayed gratification: a new climbing gym is coming to Williamsburg.
Vital Climbing Gym, a San Diego-based fitness center chain, signed a 15-year lease for a 31,000-square-foot warehouse at 1 Nassau Ave., The Real Deal reported this week.
The California climbing company plans to open a 24-hour gym with rooftop and outdoor space on the first floor sometime in 2019, the company announced.

Renderings on the company’s website suggest there will be space for yoga, cardio machines, weights and a cafe, along with climbing.

“The building is spectacularly underutilized,” Vital co-founder David Sacher told The Real Deal. “It’s really run down and we can do something cool with it.”
