The development comes just in time for the L train shutdown.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — Yet another development will rise in Williamsburg in time for the L Train shutdown, city records show.
Developers plan to build a seven-story apartment building with retail space on the first floor at 106 North First St., about five blocks away from the Bedford Avenue L train station, according to Department of Building records.
David West of Hill West Architects and developer DDG Partners filed permits to construct the 75-foot-tall building — which will house 38 apartments, 8,742 square feet of commercial space, 49 parking spaces and a 27-foot long backyard — on Nov. 7 and 8, records show.
