Organic Wine Fair Comes to Williamsburg for First US Event
A two-day wine celebration from prominent international wine fair Raw Wine will take place starting this Sunday in Williamsburg.
WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN – Raw Wine, a prominent international wine fair that features natural,
low-intervention organic and biodynamic wines, will host its first U.S. event this Sunday and Monday in East Williamsburg. The two-day celebration, headed by France's only female master of wine, Isabelle
Legeron, will feature over 120 growers and producers of stateside organic wines from the West Coast, Texas and other wine-growing regions, including the nearby Finger Lakes.
The fair will be open from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. at 99 Scott Ave., former home of The Brooklyn Mirage, on both days. And if wine is not necessarily your thing, they'll also have a variety of beers, ciders, cognac and even teas from Brooklyn-based "Tea Dealers."
Chefs, sommeliers and wine experts will also be on hand, giving talks and helping wine drinkers understand
the ever-growing natural wine industry and its expanding market presence.

Tickets for the two-day event are available at Raw Wine's website at a discount or at the event's location. They cost between $50 and $100 for one- or two-day passes.
Legeron, a well-known advocate for organic farming techniques, had her first book, "Natural Wine: An Introduction to Organic and Biodynamic Wines Made Naturally," published in 2014. Along with several other authors and wine tastemakers, she will be on hand for a talk on the natural wine industry and improving transparency in the wine world.
