WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — The MTA halted L train service in Brooklyn on Tuesday morning after somebody fell onto the tracks.

A person had fallen onto the tracks at Graham Avenue station just after 11 a.m., according to MTA tweets. Transit officials said all Canarsie-bound L trains would be held in their stations as they worked to rescue the person.

About 20 minutes later the MTA said the person had been safely removed from the tracks and that they were working to turn on third-rail power to resume service. Service was back on, but with delays, a few minutes later.
