WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — A group of Brooklyn kids got the chance of a lifetime this week when they played and tossed a coin at the US Open tennis match.

Two dozen kids from the McCarren Tennis Center, the program that runs out of Williamsburg's McCarren Park, got to participate in a demonstration at the Flushing tournament before professional players Matteo Berrettini and Richard Gasquet took the court for their match on Tuesday.

And, right before the match, Brooklyn 10-year-ld Rishabh Trivedi got to throw the coin toss and pose for a photo op with the two players.

Trivedi and the McCarren kids were part of the Net Generation program called "Kids on Court," which aims to give more than 1,000 youth tennis players the opportunity to play on the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Net Generation is USTA's youth tennis brand.

The program is in its third year and has gotten bigger each year it runs. It brings kids from across the country ages 5 to 18 to participate, organizers said.

They will also be held in Arthur Ashe Stadium prior to four selected night sessions.
