See NYC's Most Popular Valentine's Day Destinations

One neighborhood in Brooklyn has most of the top spots to take your date on Valentine's Day, according to a study by Lyft.

WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — It seems Brooklyn is the place to be if you're looking to impress your date — or group of friends — this Valentine's Day. The borough scored most of the top spots on a list of the 10 most popular places to spend the holiday, according to a new study.

The study by Lyft used its data on where people celebrated Valentine's Day last year to determine that Williamsburg, Bushwick and Downtown Brooklyn were the most popular neighborhoods to visit Feb. 14.

"According to 2018 Valentine’s Day data, Brooklyn is the top hot spot for Valentine’s Day date night, with all of the top-5 places and three of the top-5 neighborhoods located in the borough," the study said.

Many riders chose to visit a chain restaurant such as Applebee's or Benihana, the data shows, but those who went for a smaller eatery all chose to dine in Brooklyn. The top five restaurants on a list of the top 10 places were Brooklyn restaurants, while spots six through 10 were all larger chains.

The most popular were Elsewhere in East Williamsburg, House of Yes in Bushwick and Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg, which took the top three places on the list.

The company also created a list of some of the top activities that riders could use to celebrate the holiday, including the Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas in Brooklyn or the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The two Manhattan areas that rounded out a list of the top five neighborhoods were the Upper West Side and the East Village.
