One, it was filmed in present-day Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where rat evolution has apparently progressed at a more frightening rate than in the rest of the city; and two, you might not care to watch it if you have a shred of pigeon empathy left in your cold New York heart.
Even then, though, you should probably watch it anyway — because the more you know, the better you can brace yourself for the Planet of the Apes-style rat invasion that will surely spell the end of the neighborhood if melting glaciers don’t get us first.
