1 Arrest In Brooklyn Gang Beating Of Sleeping Homeless Men: Cops
Police have charged Jesus Guadalupe with gang assault after a violent beating and robbery left one homeless man in a coma.
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- Cops arrested one of five men accused of attacking a group of sleeping homeless men and beating one into a coma during a beating caught on video.
Jesus Guadalupe, 29, was arrested Friday on robbery, gang assault, criminal possession of stolen property and harassment charges for the 60th Street and Fort Hamilton Parkway attack on Feb. 23, cops said Saturday.
Video of the attack shows Guadalupe and four others punching and kicking the four homeless men, from whom they stole $5, at about 6:45 a.m., police said.

Emergency responders rushed two men, a 51-year-old and a 41-year-old, to a hospital after the attack and a third arrived at NYU Langone Hopsital-Brooklyn later that day, complained of head pain, police said.
The 42-year-old later slipped into a coma inside the hospital, said police.

Guadalupe was arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal Court Saturday and held on a $150,000 bail, court records show.
