Air Quality Advisory in Effect for Friday
High ozone levels may be unhealthy for certain groups.

An air-quality health advisory has been put into effect for the five boroughs of New York City for Friday.Â
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation issued the advisory from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. today. Active children, adults, and people with lung disease, such as asthma, should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion outdoors.
Ozone levels are considered to be dangerous for sensitive groups. As such, residents are encouraged to reduce pollution levels. Refrain from unnecessary driving and use public transportation if available.
