Brooklyn Half Marathon: Route, Street Closures, How To Track

Here's what you need to know about race times, street closures and tracking the marathoners from your sofa.

HALF BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — In honor of the Brooklyn Half Marathon, which is slated to send tens of thousands of runners darting across the borough this weekend, the city will close what might feel like half of Brooklyn’s streets.

More than 27,000 marathoners will be trotting from the Brooklyn Museum in Crown Heights to the Coney Island Boardwalk on Saturday between 7 a.m. and noon, when the Popular Brooklyn Half is set to take place.

Many Brooklyn streets will be closed and parking will be limited so that runners can race the 13.1 miles through Prospect Park and down Ocean Parkway to the finish line at the Riegelmann Boardwalk.
