Buzz A Rama, City's Last Racing Track For Toy Cars, To Reopen In Kensington
Buzz A Rama opens back up for business on Saturday, Sept. 16.
KENSINGTON, BROOKLYN – The city's last slot car track is set to reopen after its annual summer break.
Buzz A Rama, at 69 Church Ave. in Kensington, will welcome customers again on Sept. 16.
The shop is the last of its kind in the city, according to NY1.

Frank "Buzz" Peri opened the store more than 50 years ago. At the time, there were dozens of other locations where people could race remote-controlled cars around indoor tracks.

The rise of video games, not to speak of smartphones, has taken its toll on the hobby's populatiry. But Peri said his store still appeals to youngsters and other customers.
"They come here, they have fun, it's simple, it's safe," he told NY1.
Buzz A Rama will be open on Saturdays from 1:30 to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 1:30 to 5 p.m.
