Cuomo Declares Public Health Emergency for Flu in NY
Where to get your flu shot in Windsor Terrace and Kensington.

Do you have the flu? Probably. And if you don't have it now, you can rest assured that it's stalking you, waiting patiently for you to have one really late, alcohol-sodden night or rub your hand on your face after touching the germ-infested subway.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo has even declared a public health emergency in New York.
"We are experiencing the worst flu season since at least 2009, and influenza activity in New York state is widespread, with cases reported in all 57 counties and all five boroughs of New York City," Cuomo said, according to Reuters.

In New York, the governor's office said 19,128 cases of influenza have been reported this season, compared with 4,404 positive laboratory tests reported for the entire 2011-2012 season.
Despite the grim odds, there's still hope: Along with eating right, sleeping enough and washing your hands until your skin threatens to fall off, health officials are imploring New Yorker to get a flu shot, which the Center for Disease Control is roughly 60 percent effective.
