Toy Drive Being Held for the Children of Golden Farm Workers

New and gently used clothing and toys can be dropped off until Dec. 23

As the Kensington community continues its fight against Golden Farm owner Sonny Kim for improved conditions for the store's workers, there's something else residents can do to make employees of the embattled grocery's holidays a little brighter.

A toy drive is being held for the children of some of the store's lowest paid employees, including Felix Trinidad, who passed away in July from cancer, leaving behind a 7-year-old daughter and a 4-year-old son.

Other children range from one to 7-years-old. New and gently used toys and clothing can be deposited in a box located in front of 308 East 4th St., near Golden Farm.
