Elderly Man Flips Car Into Brooklyn Trench, FDNY Says
Firefighters rescued a man from an upside-down car lodged in a Brooklyn trench Wednesday afternoon.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — An elderly driver flipped his car and landed in a Brooklyn trench Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
The 89-year-old driver sped around a barrier and landed in a 6-foot-deep hole near Bedford Avenue and Avenue V at about 11 a.m., according to the FDNY and a New York Post report.
Photos from the crash show emergency responders staring down at an upside-down sedan lodged underneath a Sheepshead Bay street.

The elderly driver was removed from the car and taken to NYU Langone Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries, according to the Post.
