Help Kensington Families in Need Enjoy a Christmas Meal
The Kensington family shelter is looking for a few more donations to complete its Christmas Eve celebration.
KENSINGTON, BROOKLYN — The Kensington family shelter is looking for a few more prepared donations to complete its holiday meal for families in need.
This is the second year that the Kensington Shelter Welcoming Committee will be providing a free Christmas Eve dinner for shelter residents.
As of Dec. 22, the shelter had received many generous donations, but it was still looking for an additional prepared entree, two side dishes, and two desserts.

According to the Committee, a dish should feed six or more people, if possible. Donations can be dropped off between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Dec. 22, 23 or 24. The shelter is located at 385 McDonald Ave.
The Committee also asks that any donations be placed in a container that you don't need back. Donors are also asked to provide a card that identifies the item, and provides any instructions for how it should be reheated.
