WINDSOR TERRACE, BROOKLYN -- A straphanger said he found "a chalk image of a lynching rope" inside a Brooklyn subway station Wednesday morning.

Pierre-Antoine Louis tweeted photos of the noose drawing he and his partner found at the Fort Hamilton subway station to MTA officials during their morning commute.

"Hey @MTA," Louis wrote at about 10 a.m. "You mind explaining why there’s a chalk image of a lynching rope (noose) at the Ft. Hamilton train station?"

The photo shows what appears to be two hands pulling back curtains to reveal a rope tied up as a noose.

Police were summoned to investigate the drawing, which Louis said he found on the uptown-bound F and G train platform, according to the MTA.

"We have zero tolerance for hate symbols and imagery like this," MTA officials responded on Twitter.

"NYPD is on the scene conducting its investigation; as soon as they’re done, we will remove the vandalism."

Another Twitter user responded to Louis, "This is also my stop and feels not at all surprising given the demographics of Windsor Terrace. At least the MTA seems motivated by your tweet."
