MIDWOOD, BROOKLYN — A man lying on a Midwood sidewalk Monday morning was fatally crushed by a minivan pulling into a parking garage, police said.

The 49-year-old man was stretched out on Coney Island Avenue between Glenwood Road and Avenue H about 12:35 a.m. when he was hit by a silver 2019 Honda Odyssey, police said.

Emergency responders rushed the injured man to Maimonides Medical but doctors could not save his life, police said.

The 65-year-old Honda driver stayed at the crash site and did not immediately face charges, police said.

Police did not immediately release the 49-year-old man's name.
