Michelle Williams and Jonathan Safran Foer Are Totally Dating: Report

Park Slope’s ex-most eligible author and Ditmas Park’s new most eligible actress are reportedly off the market.

According to two Us Weekly sources, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close‘s Jonathan Safran Foer, 38, and Blue Valentine’s Michelle Williams, 34, are totally a thing.

“They knew each other through mutual friends,” one insider says of the Brooklyn-based pair. “I’m not surprised that Michelle is attracted to him. She loves books. She reads almost every day!”

Indeed, the My Week With Marilyn star, 34, once told Nylon that her love of books was “consuming, or isolating, I guess.” She even admitted she had “walls in my apartment made of books.” Adds the insider: “They’re two people in the same mind-set.”

... According to a second source, everything for Williams is coming full circle. “With Jonathan, Michelle looks finally at peace and genuinely happy.”

Foer sold his former home in Park Slope last year after splitting from his wife, fellow bestselling Brooklyn author Nicole Krauss. They have two kids together. Before they split, Foer and Krauss were named “the too-successful-to-stomach physical embodiment of literary Brooklyn” by New York Magazine.

Around the same time Foer and Krauss parted ways, Williams sold the Boerum Hill home she shared with the late actor Heath Ledger. Williams and Ledger have one daughter together, named Matlida.

Foer has reportedly been living the bachelor’s life in a Boerum Hill brownstone. And Williams just bought a gorgeous old Victorian on a sleepy, tree-lined street in Ditmas Park.
