NEW Educational Programming for Children next fall at Flatbush Jewish Center, with Teaser events this Spring

New After School program at Flatbush Jewish Center, starting Fall 2016.

Flatbush Jewish Center is proud to announce two new programs beginning this fall:

Jewish Explorers Club

The Jewish Explorer's Club is a new Thursday after-school program for children ages 4-7 that will begin in September 2016 at Flatbush Jewish Center. The JEC explores Jewish holidays, Torah, culture, liturgy and the Hebrew language through a variety of genres including cooking, drama, dance, movie-making and yoga! Program will be led by JEC Director Lizzi Mazal.

Haverim Thursdays

Haverim Thursdays is an after-school program for children ages 8-12. The program will focus on Hebrew literacy, Jewish Holidays and History, Torah stories and Jewish culture. Haverim Tuesdays will be taught by Cantor Zachary Konigsberg.

Contact the FJC office to be notified when registration opens for next fall.

Sunday May 22nd - Enjoy a Lag B’Omer “bonfire” with the Jewish Explorers Club at FJC!
We’ll be roasting potatoes, telling stories of the great Rabbi Akiva and singing songs of chesed around the campfire and lunching together on the potatoes with all the toppings!

For Children ages 4-7


Time: 11-12:30, with lunch!
Place: Flatbush Jewish Center, 327 East 5th
Cost: Event is FREE!

Sunday June 12 - Shavuot!

Join us on the first day of Shavuot as we become different stories of Torah. An ice-cream social follows!!
