With nearby no-kill shelters already full for the summer, one local resident needs your help finding a new home for her 8-year-old cat, Patches.
According to Patches' current owner, Rakisha White, the feisty feline is slightly overweight but otherwise healthy, and makes an excellent mouse and bug hunter.
Patches prefers quiet surroundings—while she will tolerate children, she is not overly affectionate, and has never lived with another cat. She does not scratch furniture nor walls, but White said she does have a habit of filing her nails on the family's area rug.Â

White said she is forced to part with Patches due to her daughter's severe allergy problem, preferably before the fall when her allergies are at their worst.
Patches comes with all of her supplies, including a bed, covered litter box, toys, a water fountain and a car seat she uses for sleeping.
