Police Blotter: Shots Fired and a Stolen Car

The following information comes from police reports from the 72nd Precinct of the NYPD. It does not indicate a conviction.

Call for Shots Fired

Police responded to a call for shots fired in Windsor Terrace last Monday, though upon arrival they found no evidence of any incident.

According to cops, the call arrived around 12:20 a.m., directing police to the northeast corner of Ocean Parkway and Kermit Place. Police said they interviewed multiple passersby, all of whom reported seeing nothing.

No shell casings or other evidence was found.

Stolen Car

A Windsor Terrace woman reported her car stolen from where it was parked on 11th Avenue near Prospect Avenue.

The victim told police that she had parked the car, a green 2001 Plymouth Grand Voyager, near her Prospect Avenue home last Monday around 7:30 p.m. When she returned at 6 a.m. the following day, she found that it was gone.

The vehicles parked both in front of and behind the missing car were still in place, and the space in which the car had formerly sat remained empty. According to reports, there were no outstanding violations associated with the car.

 

Stolen Bicycle

A Windsor Terrace man told police that his bike was stolen on Saturday, Juy 14.

The victim, 28, said that he locked his yellow SCOTT mountain bike in front of his home on 16th St. near Prospect Park West around 7 p.m. When he went to retrieve it, it was gone. The bike was valued at around $1,000.

No arrests have been made.
