Police Search for South Slope Homicide Suspect

Armando Vasquez is wanted for stabbing to death 21-year-old Alberto Garcia last year.

Police are asking for the public's help finding a man wanted in connection with a South Slope homicide that occurred last March.

40-year-old Armando Vasquez is wanted for stabbing to death 21-year-old Alberto Garcia on 3rd Ave. near 16th St. on March 16, 2011.

According to reports from the time of the incident, police found Garcia unconscious with stab wounds in his back around 5:20 a.m. He was transported to Lutheran Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
