Savor Brooklyn Now Serves Dinner, Wine

The Windsor Place cafe is slowly expanding its menu into the evenings.

You know Savor Brooklyn as a scenic spot to grab a cup of coffee or a fancy mocha. Now, you can gaze through the giant front windows onto the snow-covered streets over dinner and a glass of wine, too.

The Windsor Place cafe began serving dinner Sunday night, and will continue to offer a rotating selection of specials nightly.

Owner Helen Traversi said she's still in the process of developing a fixed menu, but said fare will regularly center around small plates and a selection of family-style pastas.

On the menu tonight is pasta with the choice of bolognese sauce or penne with mushrooms, and pork tenderloin with roasted red peppers.

The eatery also recently acquired its beer and wine license, and Traversi said she is working to curate a small wine list of roughly three reds and three whites, as well as cava, a type of sparkling wine.

Beer will be served in bottles—Traversi said she's trying to determine what types of beer the neighborhood favors, so if you have any suggestions, let her know on Savor Brooklyn's Facebook page.

Savor Brooklyn is located at 199 Windsor Pl.
