WINDSOR TERRACE, BROOKLYN — Developers are hoping to construct an eight-story self-storage building on a parking lot near Prospect Park, city records show.
JEMB Realty filed permits Thursday for the new building at 72 Caton Place, a lot on Coney Island Avenue and across from the Prospect Park Parade Grounds, according to Department of Building records first reported by New York YIMBY.
The 109-foot-tall building will hold a 157,600-square-foot self-storage facility, five loading docks and two parking spaces, Department of Building records show.

JEMB Realty bought the property for $15.2 million after a proposal to build a nine-story residential building on Calvary Cathedral’s parking lot fell through in Feb. 2015, the Real Deal reported.
Neither the designer nor the developer immediately responded to Patch’s request for comment.
