Bus Driver Stabbing Suspect Caught
Shelwyn Patt was arrested Saturday after he was identified by another bus driver.

A man suspected of stabbing a bus driver in the arm with a syringe in Windsor Terrace was caught Saturday—on another bus, the New York Daily News reports.
Shelwyn Patt, 53, was arrested after a B67 bus driver recognized him from a police sketch, and quietly alerted officers in a nearby patrol car.
“I think the guy that stabbed the bus operator with the syringe is on my bus,” The News said the driver told police from the bus window.

Patt is charged with a felony assault after attacking B68 bus driver Mark Salandy on Sept. 24 as he was exiting the bus near Greenwood Avenue and Prospect Park Southwest.
