3. Here's some uncharacteristically good news from the subway front: Starting on Sept. 25, straphangers can transfer within the same station from the uptown F at Broadway-Lafayette station to the uptown 6 at Bleecker Street.

4. And here's the bad news: There will be no F trains running between Jay St-MetroTech and 18 Ave. this weekend, and there will be no G trains between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Ave.
