The Early Word: Help Out at the Harvest Hootenanny

1. Check out the latest in Central Library's Silent Film Series, the appealingly titled "Safety Last!" on Oct. 7 at 1:30 p.m. Visit the library's website for more info. 

2. Friends of Greenwood Playground is looking for volunteers to help with its annual Harvest Hootenanny on Oct 21. Manpower is needed to sell raffle tickets, monitor the lines for face painting and balloons, help with pumpkin painting/crafts and general set-up and clean-up.
