The Early Word: Sign Up For Prospect Park's Walk-a-thon
What you need to know, pre-coffee.

1. The Green Beans Gazette, official publication of the Green Beans Not Walgreens movement, has released the latest edition of its bi-weekly newsletter. Get it while it's hot.Â
2. Head to Prospect Park on Nov. 3 for the Prospect Park Alliance's 3rd annual Walk-a-thon. This year, participants can also opt to run the park's 5K loop (though registration to run is $20, versus the walk's $10). Click here for more info.Â
3. Hamilton's won't be open until Thursday, but you can get an early sneak-peek at the bar and dining room here. Pretty snazzy looking, eh?

4. Good news for Prospect Farm: MillionTreesNYC will in November be donating two plum trees, two apricot trees and two apple trees. In the meantime, volunteers can help prepare the space for the trees' arrival on Sunday, Oct. 28 from 12 to 3 p.m. or Saturday, Nov. 10 from 1 to 5 p.m. More info here.Â
