Website gives 10 bits of history about Ocean Parkway.

KensingtonBK.com recently posted a bit of history on Ocean Parkway that included 10 things you might not know about the roadway completed in 1876, the centennial anniversary of the United States of America. Among the historical facts about Ocean Parkway was the fact that jockey clubs once competed on the parkway on private tracks until betting was banned. The road also was a thoroughfare for thousands of bicyclists when it first opened.
