Video: Crowd Attacks Homeless Men Sleeping In Brooklyn, Cops Say

A homeless man is in a coma after five men attacked him during a $5 mugging on a Brooklyn sidewalk, police said.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- Five people brutally attacked four homeless men sleeping on a Brooklyn sidewalk, video shows.

The violent thieves demanded cash, then punched, kicked and stomped on the men they found sleeping on 60th Street near Fort Hamilton Parkway in Borough Park on Feb. 23 at about 6:45 a.m., police said.

The muggers stole just $5 before running away from the men they wounded, one critically, men said police.

One victim, a 42-year-old man, lapsed into a coma and is now listed in critical condition at Lutheran Medical Center, police said.

Two others, aged 51 and 41, required medical treatment at a nearby hospital, police said.
