Vintage Vibe Permeates New Windsor Terrace Watering Hole
Hinterlands Bar is celebrating its grand opening on Thursday.

WINDSOR TERRACE, BROOKLYN — If nothing else, Hinterlands Bar has good taste in wallpaper.
Colorful flora and fauna spill from the walls of the new bar, located at 739 Church Ave., on the boarder between Windsor Terrace and Kensington.

Old-fashioned mirrors and lamps are prominently featured, too — though the bathroom takes a different aesthetic turn, sporting clippings delving into the world of fantasy games.
Hinterlands is the work of Sharlene Frank Wellington and Stuart Wellington, the duo behind Prospect Height spot Sharlene's Bar and Commonweath Bar in Park Slope, according to community website KARMABrooklyn Blog.

According to Hinterlands' Facebook page, the new spot opened this week after months of planning, but it's celebrating its grand opening Thursday evening.
The bar will be open from 5 p.m. to 4 a.m. this week. It's also looking to hire bartenders. Applications can be sent to hinterlandsbar@gmail.com.
