WINDSOR TERRACE — There's lots to do this first weekend of October in and around Windsor Terrace.
On Saturday, qigong practitioner Marisa Carroll will hold a 45-minute qigong meditation session in Thomas J. Cuite Park, Karma Brooklyn Blog reports. The Froggy Park session will begin at 10 a.m., and is "open to people at all levels of experience and those with no experience," according to the blog.
At Lookout Hill, located at the western side of the park, Prospect Park Alliance at 10 a.m. Saturday will begin a three-hour "effort to care for our green spaces with brooms, shovels, rakes and trash grabbers," the group's newsletter says. RSVPing for the event is required.

"Once the fire is roaring," reads the event description, "enjoy s'mores and other treats while our resident storyteller Tammy Hall weaves campfire tales and leads children in a conversation about bravery."
The suggested donation for the pair of Lefferts Historic House events is $3.
Green-Wood Cemetery will also offer a slew of events over the weekend.
The cemetery will host a Halloween costume-free Green-Wood At Night on Friday and Saturday night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m, when participants can "explore" the cemetery's "historic grounds under the cover of night," according to the cemetery's event page.
On Saturday afternoon, you can for $20 go on a "Saturday Stroll" around the cemetery.
"Bask in the stunning views from atop of Battle Hill, visit the elaborate monument of Charlotte Canda, pay your respects to the great maestro Leonard Bernstein, and that’s just half the tour!" reads the event description. "Along the way you will discover Green-Wood’s historic landscape and learn about the seemingly cryptic iconography found throughout the cemetery."
For the early risers, Green-Wood cemetery offers a $15 bird-watching walk beginning at 7:15 a.m. on Sunday, when you can expect to see waterfowl and possibly raptors, according to the cemetery's website.
"Before our gates open to the general public, birding expert Rob Jett leads these peaceful Sunday morning walking tours to discover the birds that make Green-Wood their home – at least temporarily," reads the event description.
On Sunday starting at 12 p.m., you can for four hours see Green-Wood Cemetery's "most impressive and elaborate nineteenth-century mausoleums with exquisite stained glass" during "Open Doors." The event costs $25.
