Weekend Weather: Farewell, Summer

Yes, it's summer, but this being New York, there's no telling what the wily weather will do over the weekend.

Poor weather is nearly guaranteed in the winter months, but we'd hate for you to make extensive beach plans, only to see them cancelled by an unexpected thunderstorm.

So each week this summer, Patch will keep you abreast of the weather with information from the National Weather Service.

Friday: Summer isn't over yet, as today's temps will surely remind you. The high will be around 90 degrees, the low around 72.

Saturday: The sunny skies will continue on Saturday, with highs near 86 degrees and a low of 68. 

Sunday: Sunday will see a slight chance of rain in the afternoon, though sun will reign for the most of the day. The evening's low will be around 69 degrees.

Labor Day: Monday will be partly sunny, with a high near 80 degrees. Monday night will be mostly cloudy, with a 40 percent chance of rain.
