Brooklyn Marathon 2019: What You Need To Know
Thousands of runners will race in the Brooklyn Marathon & Half Marathon on Oct. 19.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — Thousands of runners will next weekend race through the streets of Brooklyn during the Brooklyn marathon and half marathon.
The Brooklyn Marathon & Half Marathon will take place on Oct. 19, beginning at 7 a.m and ending at about 2:30 p.m.
The NYCRUNS-organized race starts at the Brooklyn Museum and snakes through Prospect Heights, Crown Heights, Windsor Terrace, and Kensington. The finish line will be in Prospect Park.

Specifically, the race's route includes Eastern Parkway, Washington Avenue, Ocean Avenue, Parkside Avenue, and Ocean Parkway — corridors where you can expect street closures and restricted parking.

It costs $135 to register for the half marathon and $200 for the full marathon if you do so by Oct. 16, so it's not too late to sign up!
You can register for the races here. The last day to register for the marathons is Oct. 18— the final day of the pre-race City Point Expo, which will be held at Downtown Brooklyn's Bklyn Studios.
Last year, about 12,000 people ran in the race, according to event organizers.
