Windsor Terrace Bistro Shuttered For Roaches & Mice, Records Show
Health inspectors shut down Le P'tit Paris Bistro on Prospect Park West last week, according to city records.

WINDSOR TERRACE, BROOKLYN — A Paris bistro that has been serving French cuisine in Windsor Terrace since 2009 was closed by health inspectors who found rodents and bugs in the restaurant, city records show.
Le P'tit Paris Bistro at 256 Prospect Park West was shuttered Thursday by health inspectors who found evidence of roaches, mice and filth flies, Department of Health and Mental Hygiene records show.
The restaurant earned 37 violation points after health inspectors cited the restaurant with the following violations:

- Evidence of mice or live mice present in facility's food and/or non-food areas.
- Live roaches present in facility's food and/or non-food areas.
- Filth flies or food/refuse/sewage-associated (FRSA) flies present in facility’s food and/or non-food areas. Filth flies include house flies, little house flies, blow flies, bottle flies and flesh flies. Food/refuse/sewage-associated flies include fruit flies, drain flies and Phorid flies.
- Facility not vermin proof. Harborage or conditions conducive to attracting vermin to the premises and/or allowing vermin to exist.
- Proper sanitization not provided for utensil ware washing operation.
Le P'tit Paris Bistro was a welcome addition to the Windsor Terrace strip, which was replete with bagel shops and delis, when it opened in 2009, Patch reported at the time.
Co-owners and friends Mathieu Couratin and Olivier Jouannard (who has served in the kitchens of Flea Market Cafe in the Village, Bistro Cassis and Bistro Citron on the Upper West Side) hoped to bring classic French cuisine to Windsor Terrace.

"We're trying to follow what people are looking for," said Couratin. "While staying within our vision of French food as well."
Le P'tit Paris Bistro has had three graded health inspections since 2016 and received an A grade on each, records show.
Owners did not immediately respond to Patch's request for comment.
